The National Safety Council (NSC) is America’s leading nonprofit safety advocate. Campbell Award winners are an elite group of organizations successfully integrating environment, health and safety management with business operations as a cornerstone of success.

In 2020, Allegion donated $500,000 to food banks and gave an additional $1.5 million to community organizations in sponsorships, donations and in-kind product, including our commitments to Habitat for Humanity. We also donated 45,000 face masks to assist healthcare workers in communities where we operate.
Allegion expanded our Board of Directors in 2020 and 2021, with the appointments of Steven C. Mizell, Dev Vardhan and Lauren B. Peters. Currently, we have achieved more than 40 percent diversity across gender, racial and ethnic representation among our directors.

Allegion formed the ESG Council, a cross-functional, global steering team for ESG matters. The purpose of the ESG Council is to support the Company’s ongoing commitment to ESG, including health and safety and corporate social responsibility, engagement, equity, inclusion and diversity, and sustainability by: (1) developing Company strategy related to ESG matters; (2) improving the Company’s understanding of ESG matters; (3) overseeing integration of strategically significant ESG policies into the business operations and strategy; and (4) assisting in various communications with respect to ESG matters
Reached out to shareholders representing over 70 percent of our shares to discuss any questions or concerns about our corporate governance and compensation practices, including ESG efforts, and to understand any particular issues that are top of mind for such shareholders. Those inputs and a materiality survey with key internal and external stakeholders helped us determine the material factors of importance to our business, investors and communities where we operate. These helped guide our ESG materiality map.
Strong ethics are core to who Allegion is. Our values of "Do the right thing" and "Be safe, be healthy" urge us to act ethically and responsibly in all things.
Allegion's ethics helpline is accessible to all employees and any external party, including shareholders, suppliers, customers and the general public.

Allegion conducted a survey with key internal and external stakeholders to help us determine ESG factors of importance to our business and key external stakeholders, including our investors, suppliers, customers and community partners.
